I broke 6 of the old design ones....they do not break on their own but if you crash at certain speed and angle they will snap off. New yokomo ones with C clip so far no issues. I also have the CSO with C clip they are half the price and in my opinion are just as good havent broke on yet. I highly recommend the CSO for the price.

The Yokomo double joint shafts seem to be more fragile than the double joint shafts from other companies.
I'd recommend switching to another version/manufactuerer for shafts.

No unfortunately not, hopefully for future models this will become the standard norm as more manufacturers are starting to include them as standard in their kits. I think they came out about February/March this year

I broke a Yokomo bone yesterday too.
I used this one: http://www.fast-webshop.com/tonispor...niversal-Shaft
I don't know if I should by this set again or if the Spec R will work as fine as the original Yokomo? The Spec R are these http://www.mrt-rcshop.de/epages/6307...001-Yok%202%22
