Our ST scene is building steady. We have 2-3 heats of trucks registered already for this weekend's trophy race. It picked up a bunch after the T5M came out.

Anyone got the part number for the gold springs for the T5m? And are they the same ones folks are using on the sc5m as well or are those a different part number?

Thanks in advance!

The best price I have found was $17.95/pr before shipping.

I am very interested in 2 pair of the gold for the T5m...

Wheeler is probably next, but unless you're on carpet, not sure that the changes to any T6D compared to a T5M will warrant the mass sell offs of B5ms that you're seeing.

I don't get guys taking b5ms that they've dumped $200 in titanium screws, turnbuckles and other upgrades just because the b6d was announced.

Fwiw the new AE truck springs are just as good and are only $5 a pair.

Supposedly the team has said there's no plans for a SCT or ST since they're fairly new still. Yeah when is the wheeler gonna get some love?

What I find funny is people are dumping their b5m's when a lot of things can be used on the b6. Heck the drive shafts, diff, bearings, and screws alone warrant keeping the b5m's and stripping them once the b6 comes out. And if you race truck there's even more parts that can be pulled.

I had heard they've been working on a wheeler for a while, but I've not seen anything. I wonder whether they put that on hold for the b6 (carpet).

It does make sense to see that soon since the 44.3 as decent as it is, was really just revitalized old tech.

I am late to the party I know. But, I recently acquired a sc5m with several upgrades and have only ran about 3 packs. I have yet to race it though. It is a mod sct class. I put a Reds VX 8.5, HW SCT pro and Savox 1258tg for electronics. I was so impressed with the truck and heard great things about the 5 series cars, I purchased a T5m. It is going to replace my 22T 1.0 with exotek steering rack and captured rod ends. I was also running the exotek slipper eliminator.

This will be run in a 17.5 stock class. I plan on using my same electronics for the build...they are pretty new (Red VX 17.5, Justock, and 1258tg). I ordered the slipper eliminator for this one as well. Will decide after the build if I want to install it.

My track is fairly small and usually technical (avg lap times 23-26 for middle to front of the pack), fairly smooth, couple bumps here and there, medium to medium-high bite.

Looking for inputs on the build? It should show up today and I will start as soon as possible. I am picking up on the kyosho gold springs and one step lighter in shock oils from the stock setup as well as the shorty pack for stock. Should the shorty be inline or lt/rt? I already ordered the 8.5 al rear hexes, Ti turnbuckles and al rear hubs.

Anything else I should know and do on this build?
