Almost done with my T5M build... last raced back in 1999! Anyways.. Need some battery recommendations. I will be racing in the mod class and have picked up a reedy 8.5. Wondering what battery you guys would recommend with that motor? Charger as well? All this lipo stuff is brand new to me :/
Thanks in advance..

I know I am way behind the curve, but I decided to try the Kool-Aid and got a 3 gear tranny for my truiick. It was REALLY GOOD!!! Barely perceived loss of forward bite and really good corner speed! I had to relearn how to drive the truck it was so much different! Should've done it a long time ago! I also gave green front springs a try and liked better than the grey's.

I guess its just about keeping the chassis settled in the corners more?
I should clarify, i got the new Greens for the front and the new Whites for the rear. I was going to rebuild my shocks and diff while the local track was being rebuilt.

With all the talk about springs I am sure it has been ask already, but what are the part numbers for the longer Associated springs for these so that you do not have to run the shock collars down so far. I seen pics of Ryan C.'s truck with them and I ordered a set that I thought was correct but they are the std. ones that came with it. any part numbers would help thanks in advance.

You can also run the 9mm offset spring perches. I put the 9 on both front and back since the manual was unclear which went where.

On page 14 of the manual it does state to use the 9mm offset cups.

Did I read somewhere that with the new truck springs you need to use the 5mm offsets? Placing my order with the lhs this afternoon, getting white, gray, & green for both ends of the truck. Haven't gone 3 gear yet. Need that and Kashima shocks next on the list after springs.

I do believe with the longer springs you do use the shorter spring cups. look on Associated web site at Ryans pics from the natls. there is a closeup of his truck and they are the shorter cups.

Ahh, so when using the new springs, with the 5mm perches...... Do you still set the front gap at 11mm and rear gap at 11.5mm?
Gap being from the adjustable collar on the shock body to the lip of the shock body.
