More of that custom Serpent 835....I am actually talking to someone that has access to CNC machine and probably will copy that layout but with some minor modification...especially using 7075 chassis instead of carbon fiber.

And hell no....no laydown throttle. That is probably the worst part of that whole custom Serpent....

Dude that serpent looks sweet but i would never run it lol...and the hole point to putting a .21 on the 235mm is so that we can keep the car but put that little (or should i say HUGE) amount of power to it!! yes running 1/8th would be the smart thing to do but its all about the car in this case!!

am I worng?

I did not make these parts but they are made by the same person who made the carbon 835 above. thought of the header idea last night but I believe you would end up with a very difficult to tune motor.

Yes, but instead of going BIGGER (21 engine)....why not stick with 15, 18...? Serpent does has a small block engine mount that you can mount from 12 15 and 18 outlaw type of engine.....I don't think I have to say it more, now a day, all these high end 12 (yes, 12), 15 or even 18, are not any slower then the old big block 15s....instead, they are faster and has more torque. Only disadvantage is, they do not last as long as the old time big block 15s...

I have a fully modified OS TZ18 (7 ports now...) which I used on my 835....the speed is MORE then enough, it is a little faster then my EVO4 7 ports before...however, it does not give me 5 minutes of run time. I do have another 18TZ non mod to try, hope a little last HP will give me the 5 minutes run time (but still, it has more HP then the EVO4 3 ports that I have). Also, there are plenty of small block 15 engine that are outlaw and gives tons of HP....the MEGA ZX15 is a good one....tons of rips....if money is no object, JP, MAX still has those small block 15 that gives at least 1.8 HP....

I agree with using a small block 18tz as an option for useable power. I picked up one for my MTX-3. I just wanted some parking lot terror engine. Internally its the same as the 18tm that many loved to run in the Revo monster truck. Plenty of usable low end and mid range. When put in a 4 lb touring car you would have torque to spare. I wont know about top end till spring comes around.
Solara - note the upperdecks in my photos - both the carbon decks used the 960 laydown servo linkage for the throttle and the chassis had mounts for a laydown steering servo. These were the prototypes for that Carbon 835 above. I bought some spares and a 7-port nova .15 off the guy and he threw in the chassis pieces since I mentioned I wanted to convert to laydown steering. The rear of his 720 had blade style anti-rolls like the fronts which were mounted behind the rear bulkhead to the rear lower arms ( something I would like to try ). Great guy to deal with.

Well I guess this would work. .21 Rossi + .21 THS header + MEGA 2671 pipe = a NASTY car. Standard .15 header wouldn't fit .21 block. The .21 header didn't mate to the 2696 pipe I had but did mate to the outlaw pipe. If someone pays me I may try to run it but you'll have to replace the parts I break because there isn't a serpent dealer within 200 miles of were I live.
