I've been told to buy the long type ones. E.g. YS-15675L
I will let you know if they fit , as soon as they are delivered

There is no short type for BD7 TC springs

That is the correct number and Spring

Also, Yokomo put the spring information in the part #
1565 =
Spring dia:1.5, 6.5 coils

When using Short shocks on a BD7, there are different spring collars
However these springs fit fine on Tamiya shocks as well

I received mine today, it definitely looks a lot stronger and less prone to deformation. It's great to see Exotek acknowledge a problem and fix it in a timely manner!
Original part on the left, Version 2 on the right

These outdrives will still need help with Amsoil polymeric grease , and a good front bumper to deflect the occasional big hit from the tires...

Bert these arn't diff out drives to the axles. It is from the rear diff to the driveshaft.

Are these on the Exotek site as an upgraded part or just the original out drive ?

Understood toolman, but my suggestion protects the whole drivetrain...

They are on the site as the latest version of the out drive. I'm guessing the previous one has been discontinued due to some people (including myslef) experiencing the cup opening up.

Thanks for that speed_dmon, another quick question though I am assembling my Evo 6 original blue version old stock. Has anyone had any issues with the dcj hole position for the wheel hex drive pin. Mine appears to be 1mm out of position and now I cant get the pin through the hole once the bearings are in the hub. I tried one of the the rear axles and they fit fine and the pin goes through.

Have you made sure you're using two different bearing widths in the steering knuckle? On mine, I have a slimmer bearing on the inside part of the knuckle.

That's it !! That will teach me for not reading the manual lol. Thanks for that. Now to finish the assembly. How are you guys liking the car so far. I've gone straight to the Exotek so hopefully I've made the right choice.

I looked earlier today on the site and they didn't show a pic of the new version. It still shows first version.

It's on page 2 of the Tamiya site, first item on the page.

Hi all, I wanna to try the ball diff on my Exo-Six. May I know if the ball diff (#51549) is capable to handle 13.5T blinky? Thanks!
