Anyone here heard or have any pics of Flap 27t Stock motor or a Kawada 27t stock motor? I know for sure that both companies have 23t but not sure about the 27t. Also any input on these motors?

Kawada does have a new 27t motor part number #m11271 27t gt motor. It has internel cooling blades and also accepts DSE connectors.
Have not heard much yet, because it is so new .But the few people that i have talked to who have gotten there hands on one oversea's say its a great motor.I too, would like to hear more input on these motors.
As far as Flap ,i don't know if they have a 27t but it would not surprise me!

If your bashing with a stock motor I'd highly suggest bearings. It'll make the motor last much, much longer

If he's just bashing, he won't be cutting the com so it and the brushes will be gone long before the bushings. dumb advice.

If you mean "stickered" as in the armature being tagged ,i do believe it has 27t stamped on it .I can't be sure until i have one in my hands ,but there other motors are .The Kawada motor has not been approved by ROAR yet,but that shouldn't stop them being used at most club races .Considering most tracks use ROAR rules as a guide line but not strictly followed.

Stock motors suck for bashing... they are inefficent... run hot and arnt as fast as a cheap 19 turn. In back to back testing for our enduro race last year I found I could run 2 mins longer on a pack with a 19 turn than a stock motor ... and turn faster lap times

I guess it just depends on if you want to win or lose... If I wanted to bash in the yard I would run at least a 19T, not a stock anyhow...

Not really. I mainly bash (race with my brother in the cul-de-sac) and drift my TC3 only because the LHS doesn't have a track for TCs but I still get my comm cut and brushes replaced. It's better to maintain your motor rather than letting it deteriorate and having to buy a whole new one. This hobby isn't cheap...

OD, I hear your a great racer and very smart: YOU MIND SHOWING IT?

I can "kill" a stock motor in about a month of practice days (once-twice a week, 8 or so packs a day....all I do lately because the summer "death" of carpet) pull it out of the package, run it without any attention until it quits or slows down dramatically. I've run a stock motor with bearings on practice days for a month, pulled it apart and the comm looked great and it ran real good

I encourage anyone who bashes or who's track doesn't care (ask the race director first) to pop some bearings in to their stock motor. It really helps against comm wear. I did this for my practice motor when I raced Expert Stock (trying to break into 19t now)

To get them: Just ask for motor bearings at the LHS or search online (Tower, Stormer, eBay)

Bearings will make the comm last longer but won't nesscessarily make the motor any faster.

Bushings can run as smooth or as nearly as smooth as bearings but how does bearings result in a longer lasting comm?
