Use the optional transponder mount 903577.

The aero disks don't tend to work/have the same effect that they do on the 977 Viper. I have tried them and to be honest couldn't really feel much of a difference with and without.

Thanks Dan.. I'll check it out. Was wondering about the discs. Don't feel the need to try them now.

The new diffs and gearbox are nice but don't transform the car or anything. Just add the updates later on perhaps when the kit items start to wear. They don't seem to be too expensive. The gearbox kit is about $25 on RCM I believe.

Serpent is supposed to discount the prices for the diffs to current owners...we'll see.

I think the part kits have been listed at the discounted price already. If you look at the individual parts prices then look at the gearbox upgrade kit price it's significantly less than the individual replacement parts. The same goes with the diffs. Perhaps the prices of the gearbox/diff kits will go up a bit after say 6 months?

Either way a quick email to Serpent America would probably clarify the situation...

On Serpent America site. If you compare the 747(804257) and the 748(804357) The 748 complete diff is cheaper.

Pass you soon...

Hey Dan, was there any weight savings between the old and new diffs fully assembled? 2 speed? Thanks

Yes. The new diffs filled were about 5gr lighter each than the 747 diffs. I havent weighed the new gearbox as I just bolted it on at the worlds and haven't looked at the car since but by virtue that it's a smaller assembly with 2.5mm bolts instead of 3mm bolts, smaller springs, adapter, shoes and bell it must be a good few grams lighter than the 747 unit.

Yes. Mostly Xceed as it fits the best. I however prefer life and use the reedy pack.
