It will take a lot more than offering up a shaft drive to rival the Awesomatix. The whole engineering package is a piece of work. The thread could just as easily be called "Sedan Under Siege: Rotary Dampers and Low COG."
That said, some company will almost certainly market a shaft car to "compete with the Awesomatix at a fraction of the cost" and people will buy it. Hopefully, it feeds their families and pays for vacations, but it won't make any of us faster.
