Default Xs3 problem

About half a year ago I traded my xxx for a xs3 with reciever.Just after I recieved it I got real busy and never RC'ed until now.About a month ago I started putting together what I needed to get my T4 running.Today I go to test drive it and the XS3 doesnt work.I then tryed a Xr2 and everything worked fine.So what I did to try to fix the prob was
1.Put Fresh Batts in the transmitter
2.Change the channels or the transmitter and reciever
3.Took everything apart and put it back together
4.Read the Entire manual to look for help

Still nothing,I don't even get reception(idk if thats the right word).Nothing happens when I press the trigger.I was wondering what should I do to fix this prob? Also, If possible who would I send it to to be serviced(Horizon???)

Is there anything obvious that I am just missing to get it to work?

I contacted the seller and asked if he had any probs with it but no response yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

So it comes on but it won't talk to your reciever? Is it a synthesized reciever as well? You say the XR2 will work, is that an AM radio? Need a little more info. If we can't help, Horrizon is the place to call.

If possible, try that transmitter with a different receiver. It can be a regular crystal receiver. My friend and I have had numerous problems with the synthesized receivers. Also, make sure the servo connectors are inserted in the proper direction. The orange wire of JR servos goes on the left if you look at the receiver so that you can read the writing. I have messed this up once or twice and you don't get anything especially if it is the ESC that you plugged in backwards.

How'd you do that, swap crystals? That shouldn't have worked if one is 27 and the other is 75... My JR sythesized stuff is all 75 and FM. Are you sure it's a 27 mhz reciever?

1- make sure your arrows on the reciever are facing the right direction.
2- make sure you are not triing to use your radio in system mode(it doesn't send out a signal in system mode)
3- take your equiptment to teh lacal races and ask someone who has a JR or Futaba FM radio set to test your stuff with their equiptment (ie:your radio controlling their car, their radio controlling your car) this will narrow down if it's radio problems or reciever problems..
