lol!!!!
1:1 car is running fine; drove it last night. It is just odd car out (oldest of my 3 vehicles) as I don't drive it as much since buying a new car for my birthday 2 years ago. So, it will be the newer car and the SUV. The car's value is still above $3K so why keep holding on to it while it depreciates to nothing. Trying to get value out of it while I can. I am still working; long way from retirement.

Trust me, I know it is a hobby. Traveled over much of the US and Puerto Rico racing 10th and 8th scale cars. Been having fun for the most part. Just always wanted a 5th scale and if I get a chance to race it, cool. If not, parking lot basher it will be. Just want to say that I have owned a 5th scale car at least once.

"I can almost go thru a turn without getting off of the gas". that's the character of limited diff going in a straight line. One-way to accelerate undercorner and out of turning. So when do you upgrade on hydraulic brakes. Since you bash, you can also use the 2sd tranny.

I am a basher the cable brakes give me all the braking I need right now. If I start racing seriously then I will get hydraulic brakes.

I know this is off the topic of RC's but I took Art hum one semester and grew to love the works of Rafael and especially Michelangilo's sistine chapel ceiling masterpieces.

nitrohead,

You might want to check craigslist Dallas or Las Vegas for the 240z with a V8. I was cruising craiglist over the weekend, looking for my usual deal on a RX7 or 280/300zx and saw a red one that someone put a Chevy V8 in it. I just don't remember which city I saw it listed under. Mentioning a Z car brings back memories of the 1980 280zx I was in the process of restoring when I was living in Mississippi. Had to leave it at my mom's house when I moved to Texas and before I could get back to bring it to Texas, the salt air and moisture rusted out the key areas of the car which rendered it unsalvagable. I miss that car (2 seat, 5 speed with T-Tops).

So am I. Even though it was cosmetically rough, it was mechanically sound. Would not hesitate driving it anywhere in the country if I had to. That was the reason why I bought it ($700.00 at the time, 1993). Redone the brakes on it myself, replaced the driver's side door myself (not a one man job for sure) and was working on the interior. Would love to get another Z car for the right price. But, if a good deal on a RX-7 or second gen Supra (not Targa top), all manual transmissions of course, I would jump on it in a heartbeat. The only thing that would trump that is if a come across an Acura Legend Coupe (1991-1995).
