Can you get the car around the track without crashing? Lots of people will tell you practice, practice, practice. Also get the tires everyone at your track is using.

Get setup tools to help you dial in the setup. It is very important to have everything even from left to right for a consistent handling car.

What the two above have said are probably the most important things. make sure you get some good setup tools/board/station and learn how to use them right. have your car setup and dialed in properly before each race/run and as much practice as you can get, and then some.
you'll have to mess around with setup probably a lot before you find the right combination that "clicks" or works for you.

Some say its ok others don't, people have different opinions so go for what you can afford. I got a hudy because I had the funds at the time and was in stock locally.

don't need setup board. all you need is a flat surface with height, droop, and camber gauge.

+ YouTube Video

Either raise the body a little or trim the wheel wells more or else you'll know what body tuck is. Cut the wheel arches so when it comes towards the lower side go straight down instead of curving the cut towards the wheel. Push both middle side (by the doors) in and see if body hits tires when push in, check the front when you steer it

The wheels were pushing the body and i trim were it was needed, the next body will be better cut.
