Default after run oil fouling plugs

Until recently I have always used wd-40 as after run oil.. and it was always done after every run. I had never had a plug completely die on me..
The last couple times I used hobbico after run oil and now have a dead plug.. dead meaning there is no glow to it at all..

coincidence or is wd-40 more plug friendly than after run oil?

I've used both and I personally like WD-40. I can't say that the hobbico after-run fouls plugs, but it is a little harder to burn off when it comes time to start the engine again.

I use Hobbico oil in my motor and use it very liberally and never had it foul a plug, in fact the plug I used to run my motor in is still going strong.

the A5 is a colder plug and is probably more likely to be fouled..
but maybe it was just coincidence..

Suggestion: Have an old plug that you use as your “after run oil plug” Use it when starting for the first time after using after run oil. Switch to a “good” plug after the oil is burned out of the cylinder. That way, you don’t have to worry about fouling a “good” plug. After a new plug has several runs on it (before its worn to an unsafe limit! ), it becomes your “after run plug” and so on.

Beware of using old plugs though cause the wire can break off enter the chamber and while your after running the wire is also saying goodbye sleeve.
