TC gearing question
Hi all,
I have a Novak 3.5t motor with a gtb esc and I'm looking for some gearing recommendations. I'm thinking of putting this combo in an Ofna JL10E to race on a small parking lot track and I'm not sure where to start with the gearing...all suggestions are welcome.

Dimensions work best
It would be better to give the outside dimensions of your track layout. A "small" parking lot at a dentist's office and a "small" parking lot at Disney World would be two entirely different track layouts.

A gtb/3.5t is for tracks that have a 170+foot straight, and you should be geared between 9.25 fdr to 10.5fdr.... Make sure the drivetrain is free and strong enough for such power, and make sure you use a good lipo battery(thunderpower)....

thanks for all the responses. Its hard to estimate the overall dimensions of the track, because it changes from week to week. But the front straight is at least 150 to 170 feet. The track is in a mall parking lot, I'll experiment with the 9 to 10 fdr ranges and watch temps to see what works.
