Xray T4'14
#33
I love my T4, both of them! It seems I read a lot that they gave the car more steering. I have never found this to be an issue unless I am thinking of it wrong.
The only change I would like to make in my current T4 would be to fly into the corner faster. When I try to carry too much speed I get some front end push at entry and mid corner unless I let some speed go.
Am I to read into this that the new T4'14 will allow someone to carry more speed into the corner? Is this what is meant by the more steering claims?

LOL. The first time I ever read one of their marketing releases with all the "optimized" BS, it actually made me not want to buy XRAY. I'm glad I finally did and I've been hooked on their quality since, but they really overdo the sugar coating on their marketing materials, to the point where it's just laughable. They've gotten much better recently, but you still have to shake your head at some of the things they say. They make great products. There's no need to exaggerate.

to me it looks like Xray have always over designed their TC's. They just look a 'tad' over weight. I know there not and are great performers but every time I see the next new model I think they could have made that part smaller or trimmed some material from there... they just have that look. Funny thing is that I don't do that with a Tamiya or HB car just Xray.
I think that maybe they are trying to design the car for 'EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY' hence the 10% (?) overdesign.
Having said all that I WILL order one when they come out ...lol

If weight is a concern the new T4 is lighter than its predecessor (which wasn't overly heavy) and the rotating parts (like diff, spool, centershaft) weight way less than their Tamiya or HB counterparts.
Good choice to buy one btw

David
Edit: Sounds like they need to "optimize" their marketing
