With an all new factory works (Mark Webber driven) LMP1 Porsche racing at LeMans in 2014, there will be renewed interest in the real 1:1 class. Sure hope they're able to take the fight to Audi.....finally.
It would be really nice to see something like this Speed Passion LMP1 car racing in 1/10th RC racing.

More body choices needed.
Well there are plenty of 1/10 f1 chassis on the market that would fit the Speedpassion LMP1 body. Now all that's needed is interest from those chassis owners in running an LMP1 class with their f1 chassis. It sure wouldn't hurt if a body manufacturer known for doing high quality work produced a second body choice for those f1 chassis owners....ahem! That new Porsche LMP1 sure looks like a winner to me, or should I say "P-type LMP1".

The LM1 is a very interesting project....and trust me, when we start doing the blue prints of the LM1, there were 3 things I am asking for the US market...
(1) Low cost unit......
(2) Realistic bodies
(3) Rubber tires with low profile....
We accomplished the first 2 task easily....#3, is a hard one. The realistic LeMan type low profile, high offset wide wheel/tires package in rubber....if everyone has no problem spending $60 USD a set of rubber, it will be out now...however, the true is, we are only more then OK to spend 1/2 of that....$30 USD. That is the problem.....for foams, we can do that for $40. And these foam, when running on carpet, will last at least 2-3 race day easy. But at the end, still are foams, still the RC tires that does not match the class.....LeMan.
We are working on 2 major tires brand right now for the rubbers....I think we will debut them at 2014 TITC at Thailand for the LeMan series there....with 130-140* track temperature with 13.5T motor, I think it will be a very good test before it is out for the market...

2S only.....we are going more toward the F1 rule. Spec type motor (like 17.5 indoor and 13.5 outdoor)....possible 21.5 in the loop IF there is a request...
Little bird saying 1S is not going to last too long.............over in Asia and Japan, they have 2S lipo pack in 4500mah that is only 5mm taller then the current 1S pack running in 12th scale already.....boosted 6.5T 2S for 10 minutes...no problem to ESC, motor and lipo.....

simple: I agree! I saw this car at the IIC race. VERY nice indeed.
