Our 2012 F1 R/C club champ ran the SJF01. Around 1 second faster than his Tamiya F104v2.
His first runs... 19secs (video)
One week later... 17.97sec. And still going.

That is a Composite Craft Predator that some one stuck an Old School front end on. The original front is a beam similar to the old Parma 1/12TH car.The Predator Lynx II was a much more interesting car though it used the Delta style beam front similar to the TRC which is why they are sometimes confused.

Street Jam won our F1 rc club race yesterday. Rear suspension was nice, front arms looked sturdy and you can adjust roll centers.

Jay, do you have the SJ aluminum caster block? Were you able to get it to work for 9 degrees in the narrow configuration? I noticed the upper arm (rear mounting point) is fixed....
Tried to put on an SP-1 aluminum block but it was no bueno.

On the SP the arms just flexed at the knuckle for the 10, made the V collapse some, didn't have any issues , but I always felt 10 was too much. Sacrificed too much entry for exit and the only other option was 5
I'm still working on dialing in spring/oil right now. I just built a set of the bladder shocks and got the spring kit. I was going to move to caster next, I noticed the setups on petit all ran 5 or 7 so I started at 7

Thanks!
Just finished building the car last night. Pretty much stock except for an F104 carbon shaft I cut down to fit and the carbon hub uprights. Need to do some minor setup changes and install electronics. Maiden run at the next Norcal race, can't wait to see how it compares to my TRF.
Let me know how the bladder shocks go. I am not a huge fan of the stock shocks, but so far they feel relatively smooth.

I prefer the Speedpassion carbon axle as the diff plate is pinned and the threads are all one piece, makes it super true, much better than the tamiya or original SJ setup. Plus it is already the same size, no added parts. I run either the SP carbon or the SP steel if I need more rear grip.
I should have the new shocks ready for racing next week, I will let you know
