Man! you guys are stalkers. Yeah, sorry. I've taken the rc summer off for the first time in 30 years. Along with that, a break from rctech. Fishing, camping, shrimping, brewery hoping, home remodel.... oh... and work is filling in all my time.

I wish I knew how to loosen the belt on the spam filter on the site. I have had a few say that they do not get through. I apologize for that.

The thrust kit for the Rev 8 should be the standard #101 thrust kit.

The caster gauge works really well on Bruce's new old school front end. His work is just art! Clever stuff!

So I tested out on our parking lot track today. I got my tc setup the best I could at morning practice first. Track was really kind of loose. I set my my rev8 down and it couldn't hold a straight line very well and was very twitchy with the ass end coming around doing donuts. I was kind of disappointed from my prior experience at the indoor asphalt track. So I took back to the pits and racked my brain trying to remember two years prior how I would have to solve this issue. I decided to loosen up the side tweak springs and I gave them a full turn. I had them one half turn past touching at the prior track. Now they were just above touching the pod bottom plate. No other changes were made other than turning my steering EPA down to take away all the steering I needed at other track. I put my car back down and it was dialed. I was going full throttle down the straight and through the sweeper at the end of strait with no problems. It was great. No more twitchy or being loose. I wanted to just play with that car but it was race time. No 12th scale class here. I never had a 12th scale like this before.

Bruce,
Are you getting closer to having the Rev 8 with the new front end, pod plates and links etc. available?

Thanks,
E

Greetings. I'd inquired about the availability of the front end (New School) -because i'd neglected to read the latest news in regards to Team Speedmerchant. An e-mail was sent to me and the front end I'd pre-ordered should be shipping probably by the week ending on the 5th. I have a strong notion that I was on a long list of pre-orders.Bruce , if you get to read this thanks for your patience.

Could do with some setup help please.

This car has a lot of rear end grip. I need to find some mid and exit steering as it turns in fine but as soon as I get back on the power it wants to push. I can drive round it but it means I cant push it as hard as I'd like.

Tim,

What center shock spring and shock oil are you using?
What side springs? What front springs? What do you have camber set at?

Please post your setup

With the standard SM setup from Bruce/Joel, my cars do the opposite of what you are describing

My Setup is
Blue Asso centre
30wt oil
Green Spooge
Side springs I think are kit 020

Front end is Xenon which is basically Associated
5deg blocks
020 springs

Tyres pink rear, magenta front 10.5t motor

I know the front end is different to what most run but it shouldnt make that much difference.
