so how much of an advantage is dead shorting batteries?? I know it kills the life of the battery, but is it worth it?? and how many people out there really do it??

If you're on a budget, don't do it. If you have an old 3300 pack that's not quite making the grade any more, try it on that one. Dead shorting will bring it back for a bit before it becomes unusable.

What would the usable life of a set of 3700 cells be if you dead-short them.
Would you do this after every run?? Or is this done before you put them away to store for next race meeting??

Look at it this way-when you take a brand new pack-it loses runtime with every cycle. When you Deadshort a brand new pack-it loses 20 to 30 seconds right off the bat, but it stabilizes and doesnt lose much runtime after that for a very longtime. hereas the non-deadshorted pack continues to lsoe capacity quicker than the DS one. After a month or two-the non dead shorted pack had less runtime than the Dead shorted one and less voltage too.
So-the dead shorted pack has more voltage and more capacity than a non deadshorted pack after one or two months of constant use. Seems like a no brainer to me for stock or 19t racing!!

Yang-I have heard that in the past as well. Its better to leave your cells in the tray than with a deadshort bar if given a choice. But can you imagine having to buy 10 or 12 of these things and carry all your packs stored in these. Well-Charlie and Bob and crew would like that-eh? Maybe they will offer bulk discounts on dozen lots.
