I know but couldn't find it anywhere. If you have any pointers, that would be very much appreciated.

What sort of race ready weight are you guys getting with your build?
With a full size stick lipo (5600) I'm at 1315g
A full 65g under!
Gives me plenty of scope to get balance right, but first measurements it seems very neutral out of the box.

That's very low, never heard of anyone using that low cst in a diff before in any make of car (but it maybe needed where you're racing, lol). Is this for carpet or asphalt, what motor class?
If I may, I would suggest you stick with the orange o ring (Kyosho or new Tamiya o-rings, no more leaks) and try getting more off-power steering some other way. Have you thought about adding some anti-dive, reducing your camber, or shorten your rear wheel base...

Kyosho's are on the way along with some from ARC to try (if they are the right size). It only leaks from the outdrives. I green slime the diff gasket and change it every few rebuilds so it doesn't leak.

Mine was also nice and underweight, the limit in the UK is 1350 so I had a little less to add to mine to make it race legal

foam bumper?
Does anybody know what major touring car brands bumpers are compatible with the 417/418 mounts? Is there a "preferred" bumper guys like? Being that its outdoor season its not quite as crucial but I still get nervous during occasional bad hits--the 418 bumper is pretty narrow!!

21.5 and 17.5 blinky ran on a sealed asphalt parking lot sprayed with a fruit punch/water mixture. I rebuilt it with 1000 cst using the black orings to test next time out. Like you suggested, I'll try some other methods to gain off power steering because it definitely wouldn't hurt to have some more on power steering for a few sections due to the thicker diff oil.

The Tamiya black o-rings may still leak a little even with 1k oil. You shouldn't be disappointed with the Kyosho/Tamiya (orange) o-rings.
If you need help with tuning opinions, just post your full setup and I'm sure you'll get some good opinions from many people here....
Good Luck!!

One question. Using a Kimbrough servo saver (http://www.rcplanet.com//v/vspfiles/.../KIM114-2T.jpg), I don't get the full travel. I am aware the manual recommends the long heavy duty servo arm (Tamiya) but wonder if there is a better (arm) option?

The best servo saver IMO-- and the one that many (if not most) TC drivers use is the Xray ultra stiff. It uses 4 "bands" for stiffness. Better than any Kimbeough saver. Perfect length--the center hole is 18mm from center, I believethe Tamiya alloy one is only 16mm which will leave some travel on the table at least with Futaba radios.
