Another update on the c-hub front. It looks like Square has produced a newer part that has a larger opening to accommodate the DCJ's. Only available in 5 degrees. Square's stuff has always been rock solid in the past. Hopefully these are no exception. I'm going to give them a try.

Let us know how fitment goes, if any unwanted slop when fully assembled (compared to new plastic units), and durability.

Maybe you should try a slower class to better yourself, maybe VTA. At least you can hit stuff in that class and still get away with it instead of walking off the track all pissed off.

I expect parts to sometimes break in big crashes.
I do not expect parts to break during the normal taps that anybody fast enough to make the top 10 at a big race is going to encounter. And that's the issue here. Cars can't break on taps. It's simply unforgivable.
If you're not close enough to the boards to tap now and then, they're you're probably some mixer that doesn't really compete at a high level. And that's fine. But please don't presume to understand what those of us trying to get it done at the highest level (outside of paid pro drivers) are trying to accomplish.

Staying on topic; do you use the metal outdrives with no blades (V5 outdrives)? Maybe running the plastic outdrives (even though they tend to notch) might help dissipate some of the impact? It might be enough to keep you in the race. Worth a shot, no?
