The stock HB shocks kept leaking so i picked up a pair of Proline Shocks and they are far superior to the to the kit shocks. They are well wort it.
From the Proline website........ Use 6267-01 in the Front with 5mm of limiters and use 6308-01 or 6308-31 in the Rear. Use 2mm spacers on the top of the shocks to get the correct shock angle
That is what I have installed on my buggy

I did not mean to imply that the stock shocks were bad in any way. I probably should have said that I picked up a used roller and the shock bodies were worn and leaking.
The aluminum shock caps were out of stock and proline had deal on the Pro-Spec shocks over Memorial day so I decided to give the proline shocks a try.
I really like them

The car is much much more durable then others in this class. So i would't worry about breaking parts too much. But I'm not talking bad landings. The skid plates built into the bumpers catch on the track when landing jumps, i can only assume you must run with allot of ride height in your car. I like to keep mine relatively low to the ground. But even then the rear skid plate always managed to catch a few times a race. Buggy is much more predictable without it.

+1 on proline buggy shocks. Have them on mine too. So much better then the hb units. Thicker shafts and more pack. Add in they don't use bladders. Only wish they had a better cap design. Otherwise a def upgrade over the hb units

I have found nothing wrong with the HB shocks to this point. If you don't want to run bladders you don't need to. However, I'm also a fan of running bladders. I'm not exactly a fan of thicker shafts as they displace more oil in the shock body. I'd rather generate pack with oil and piston selection. For anyone new to this buggy, don't feel like you need to replace the kit shocks. My son has been running his from day one including the plastic caps with no issues.

I totally agree. I don't know why guys change parts that function properly. An upgrade is not an upgrade if there's no improvement over the original part. I've found no need to change the shocks, hexes, spur or wing mounts

Yup my stock hex's have been working great, and my wing mounts have survived quite well. Some people just need to spend money i guess.
