Is that the original one? My original did not last 1 day at track and my replacement has last month's and not one crack.

Quick question why would i purchase an Avid chassis -vs- a Schelle Chassis? what would i gain from each and which would work best on a med to high bite outdoor track?

The stock kit is pretty stellar. The stock kit + the right tires + lots of practice will snag you a podium in a LOT of places.

The Avid is best suited for high bite tracks and nothing less then that.

to be honest, i don't know. i've been so spoiled by the this kit that most crashes where people driving other buggies cringe, i just shrug my shoulders and drive away. so it could have been from one of two crashes looking back. probably one where i came up short on a triple and cartwheeled for about 15 feet. i didn't even notice it until after the day was over when i got home. so i drove at least one full pack after it happened.

yes, that was the original that came with the kit (my buggy was purchased about a week after they became available at launch).

My son is a pretty dang good driver but he has been cracking the inside of his front rims. Both his Prolines and the stock rims have done this. Both of them seem ridiculously flexible on the inside of the rim. Has anyone had experience with other rims that don't crack and flex quite as easily?
Try the JC wheels. Found them to be the stiffest

I love it, "just shrug my shoulders and drive away" "cartwheels for 15 feet".I do the same thing ,and this car rocks.im thinking it was just the 1st batch of front towers that were a problem like HB said.

+1...its nothing but comedy.

Last weekend I was at IERC..With the new layout the front straight is the entire length of the track with a sweeping dog leg right onto the straight. Lets just say with a 6.5 you're hauling the mail by the time you're halfway down the straight.

Another buggy and I come together right about the time yea get on the binders to slow for a another dog leg right after the straight. My D413 cartwheels for about 10 feet...then up and over the track barrier right into the wall.

Everyone at the track let out a perfectly choreographed "ohhhhhhhhhh".

I walk down off the stand...pick up my car...throw it down..test each end to see if anything is bent...Nothing was broke or bent.

Shrug the shoulders and continued my run.

The d413 falls into the stupid durable category.

That's why it was a good choice for someone like me who hasn't raced a buggy since 1990

Which tessman setup are people typically using? I tried the reedy 15 but the car was wayyy too twitchy. I was thinking about trying the reedy 14 setup as I've heard it's fairly calm and easy to drive but wanted to get some thoughts before I tore everything apart. Track is tight (12 second lap times), and is a bumpy medium to high bite clay.

Just my experience, just average joe. The older set ups are little ,very little bit calmer.i would think # 5 steering ack plate things and radio adjustments would help smooth out the car more than a different setup sheet.

Just a quick question? I'm currently rebuilding my shocks with the vrp pistons and x-rings, do I use both washers on either side of the piston?

Thanks,
Iain
