I can't seem to find a gasket and rubber O-ring set for the D413 diffs. Searched using the part numbers from the D413 manual.

Looks like the only way to get a gasket is with this $34.00 diff gear set.
part # 112778
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...78++&search=Go

And nothing pulls up when searching the part number for the rubber O-ring.
part # 66595

I have used 8th scale Losi brand gaskets and O-rings to rebuild 8th scale Durango diffs before, and they worked perfect. I wonder if gaskets and O-rings from other brands will work on the D413 diffs ?

I looked all over for that gasket as well. Looks like its only part of the gear set..ouch. From my 8th scale days I never recalled replacing the gasket since I always use a very thin line of bearing grease or blue RTV to seal them. The rubber seal looks very similar to the outdrives on the SCTE but I don't have a mic to measure in front of me.

While this is true, there are too many people having the spur let go on them to say it's user error. And not everyone is running the same aluminum pinion and not everyone's mesh is just right to cause this. It's too much of a coincidence I think.

Why hasn't TDeguzman chimed in on the spur issue? Perhaps boiling the spur gear part like we used to do with the Pro4 diff gears?

Spur gear & whole car becomes way more quite after break in .

Bet those who complained about strip spurs adjusted the mesh too loose in a attempt to make less noise..

I have 2 concerns.

1: I had some .8 mod spurs for a traxxas (slash 4x4.) and was using a 32p pinion... it seamed OKAY, but it became saw-toothed pretty quick... and stripped.

I switched to a .8mod Pinion... it's been on for 2 years. (with crap like this happening to it.)-just go to 0:30...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwRAahT2Eo0

My mini revo (which a just plain old abuse!) This was 3s. power on a 380 motor with 3 gear diffs.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0e8R4eZw5Y
Go to :27... at :37 the sound was my ballooned tire spinning on my body... not my diff, the truck was fine.)I have NEVER stripped a spur. It's a 48 pitch spur, and they offer 45, 50 and 55 tooth counts. (so they are pretty darn small...)

My brother in law had fit a 540 motor (Traxxas Velineon 3500kv) to his mini... and geared it 45 pinion, on the 45 spur~ and he didn't break that spur doing quad backflips at the skate park... (He broke the chassis... but not the spur...)

2: there are many more people out there putting much much more power through smaller/weaker spurs that aren't stripping.

Hmmm.

I used to use a mabuchi motor powered by a Muchmore Motor Master to break in my shaft drive touring cars. 1-2 hours at a slow speed (with fans blowing on the motor) followed by a complete rebuild/re-lube. It really broken things in nicely.

I wonder if the same would be beneficial to the D413.

The #1 biggest issue with the car right now is parts availability. I had a gasket go bad last week on the center diff and luckily I had a backup spur/gasket set. Now, if anything happens the car will be parked for months.

I don't care how good an rc is as a consumer this becomes unacceptable after two months of ownership and still no parts support.

Bottom line there is demand for this car-support it with parts and options or it becomes a could've been rc like others before it.

Also just noticed that the kit on stormer hobbies site shows the kit with the Proline shock cups installed. I was wondering if that is just a misprint or do they plan on shipping the newer kits with those?

I just got off the phone with Great Plains. According to their system, a truck is scheduled to arrive on July 1. I hope that they are correct this time

Great planes gets them first? Or from Tower? I ordered mine on 4/16 from Tower, still no buggy! Electrics are just sitting there!

Its just a picture they pulled off somewhere of Tessmann's buggy. Proline caps will never be in the hands of anyone other then Tessmann.
