Any of you build a Back yard On Road track?
Just curious if any of you have built a backyard track for onroad and maybe could share some pics. Also do you think it would work well on concrete or would black top be required?
I wanted to do an offroad track but dont want all the dirt mess, maintenance, mud when it rains etc. So thinking on road would be cool.

I have a 10x20 concrete patio out in my back yard with a 10x20 canopy over it, that was my drift zone for a while but the concrete eats the tires to fast so I quit lol

I have a 20 ft x 100 ft semicircle driveway made of white concrete.
I use small pylons and heavy garden hose to set up a VTA and Formula-1 track on occasion. It is a great surface for rubber tires.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with theproffesor on this one. If you did it, you would have to get some serious landscaping in there to make it look like a lil park
A dirt track would be easier to get away with because it isn't permanent and much more flexible to change or what not.
In either case, the wife or the girlfriend will have to get something out of it too. lol. Whether its a pretty garden, bench, or bird bath they will add something to the plans...

My Brother built an on road track in Tucson in his backyard (it was on an old Tennis Court.) He also built the very first Off road track in Tucson at his house prior to opening Arizona Fast Track Hobbies in 1984.
If one had the room, the Tennis court idea was pretty good because it didn't damage any value to the house as to could return it to a court with paint.

I was looking into it my wife wants to build a house at his dads property and she said if I agree I can build an on-road track the down side is I will be only 100ft away from my in-laws lol... So I haven't really decided if I wanna do that however I did build the biggest 1/8th scale off-road track at the same property in central cali back in 2007-2009 till I got burnt out running the track....
