Boost bottle is actually a small metal bottle, around the same size of an external fuel filter. A fuel tube is linked from the bottle to the caburettor, so whenever you throttle the car, the bottle will supply an extra amount of air to the engine, this will increase pick up but dosen't really affect the top end tho. The boost bottle somehow makes the engine runs leaner during pick up(it also sounds leaner), but any side effect to the engine I do not know.
