It seems that my rs4 3 is very out of date. Hop up parts such as graphite towers and all are very rare. In two months im moving to an area with quite a few tracks and i want to get some action. I doubt this car can hang. Anyone have any suggestions on a new car that would would cost me about 500 w/engine? i took a look at getting that package from rdlogics with the mongoose engine and turbo pipe. i have the servos and radio from my r43. Anyone got any other suggestions?

for 500$ w/engine i'd recomend an HPI R40

i'm sure you'll get plenty of recomendations for just about everycar out there
just keep in mind the availability of parts locally and if you want to deal with mail order or not.

R40 is great and cheaper then ever. You can get the R40 for $120 right now from a shop in europe.

The rest can transfer over...not sure about the motor though. But you can get something for cheap. Then youll need a flat-pack battery.

As for the turbo pipe. You can get those for cheap. Actually I think somewhere online has a nice motor and the turbo II pipe for 150. Thats a sweet deal and youll be on your way to kicking butt and still have a good amount left over to cover tires and extra things youll need. Fuel , glow plugs etc.

im sure shipping that thing from europe to louisiana would just about make up for the jit being cheaper. btw you got any of those engine/pie set companies names handy?

I would figure maybe $20 or so to ship it....Thats still far less than what you would pay at towerhobbies.

You can get just about any rear exhaust .12 to fit in the R40 side exhaust will not fit with out major headaches.
the MT-12 is a great engine lots of torque to get you out of the corners and it's got pep for the straights, best of all it can be found fairly cheap usually around 120$ at most LHS it is an older engine so most places are just looking to get rid of em.
there are plenty of choices out there do a lil reasearch and you'll find what you need.
