I had my first run with this car on Wednesday night, I'm very happy with it so far far, I was running shorty pack (3500 SMC) and I had the wrong tires on for the night but it still performed well with low weight and very low grip, I was running a 17.5 with 69/34 and after a 5min main was coming of at 63 degrees motor and 25 degrees speedy, was using 1183 mah as an average for the night for 5min runs and a few practice laps, car is very forgiving and I was using box setup.

Well, after what felt like forever I finally got my ZX6 Kit yesterday (after knowing it was delivered to the house 3 weeks ago!) for my birthday!

Didn't get a chance to start it yet as I had to defend my Cycling Club Road Race Championship title today (shameless boast) but finally going to start playing with it tonight. Still waiting on some bits and pieces but got my Ti Screw Kit (or 21 packets of Ti Screws as I wasn't going to wait for an actual kit lol), batteries, motor, ESC, lightweight Diff Out-Drives etc and will hopefully have it together this week!! Can't wait!!!

Good to hear! What weight did your car come out at in the end? Balance?

Here's mine from an old post, I have a set of gforce scales coming for better results, I'll post a pic of that, that didn't work but here is a pic.

Thanks. I thought you may have had a complete weight with tyres, body etc. Having said that I just weighed my body and looked up my tyre numbers and figured it out.

Is this box-stock? Except for electronics of course. No Titanium or lightweight parts etc?

Mine is around 1650 and yes it's standard, using lightweight shorty, my esc is heavy though being all alloy, you could loose some weight for sure.

LAW 46
Kyohso ZX-5 FS2&FS2SP Light Weight Diff Shaft Set

If you want them lighter, you can use TFW001, but then you need Thrust Diff Ring TF013 also. This is aluminium shaft made for TF-5.

Default First race

After running this car my first impression was that it is better balanced than the zx5 and the steering is much improved.

I did notice the front center drive shaft can rub on your servo mounting tabs if you have the servo slightly mounted off center when mounting it sideways.

Also make sure to put some shoe goo or duct tape on spots where the body rubs to save your paint. The body hits in 2 spots on the front bulk head and slightly bumps the motor tabs in the rear motor configuration. The steering rack can rub on the body too and you may have to trim past the cut lines slightly for clearance. I ran a whole qualifier without checking and noticed paint scuffs on the rack afterwards.

I noticed that while building it so I did it while building, but good points as I forgot to post it
