Default Gear diff innards

When building the gear diff for the ZX6 or 6.6, I would consider upgrading the spider gear shafts to part #tfw008. They are coated. I have had these shafts in my ZX6 since last year about this time and there are not any wear marks of any kind. The stock ones start to groove up about the 3rd race day.

Should have mine next week. It'll be the first K car I've built it awhile.

Smile D413 vs ZX-6.6?

I love Kyosho cars, I have two RB6.6s and I'm eyeballing the ZX6.6 as it would be nice to have a full K fleet for some of the parts exchange, but also I just love Kyosho quality. Super impressed so far, started with the RB6 2015 edition. I tried to find some answers to this question in the forums a while back but I wanted to come back since there is a new car.

Has anyone compared the D413 to the ZX6? as in owned both? I currently have a D413 and it's a great car too.

I understand the ZX6.6 doesn't come with gear diffs. I would more than likely add them.

I am also not concerned with the cost difference of the cars. I've already made these calculations.

Appreciate any helpful feedback. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

So far so good.

I was able to start the build today and got quite a bit done on the car.

Definitely decided to go gear dif all the way around on this car.

Carbon composite parts came as standard. I must have missed that in the description but cool nonetheless.

Really like the drive shaft retainers that come with the car, gone are the days of the shaft popping out during maintenance.

Decided to try the car stock first without the floating servo mount.

One thing I will remark on is the center dif itself. While nothing is "wrong" with it, it doesnt feel as solid or go together quite as nicely as the regular gear dif does.
Make sure when screwing the main screws that bring the two halves of the center dif together to get them below the bevel on the dif or it will hit the motor mount on the aluminum side. All in and moving smoothly though.

Of course fit and finish so far is excellent. Car feels tight and parts fit great.
Next up are shocks and turnbuckles and then this baby will be ready to race Wednesday. I plan to have her track ready tomorrow afternoon.

P.S. If anyone wants to see something specific please let me know and I'll take a shot of it.
