Default I really need someones help Traxxas 1/10 Rally

I switched out my motor in my Traxxas 1/10 Rally to a Castle Mamba Max SCT 2400 kv motor.

In doing so I increased my pinion gear to 21 pins to get more speed. Because of this larger gear I ran out of room in the plate behind the motor to make the proper adjustment with the spur gear.

Has anyone else had this problem and what was your solution?

Thank you

That is defeating my purpose of attaining a higher top speed. I would think that somewhere out there is a fix besides a smaller spur gear but maybe not. That's why I am posting on this board to get the best answer.
