do you what the check in procedure will be for this year? Last year I had to wait in line for 2 hours and i would like to know if I will be doing this again so that I can either make plans or find something else to do.

thanks.

Also, I have the same question as hanulac. Can classes be added, removed, changed during checkin? I think you may have two of my friends wrong and should they contact somebody about it or just wait until IIC monday?

I put a note on my phone with;

-Transponders for each class
-how many sets of tires for each class
-t-shirt size
To be shown in leiu of them asking the same question 380 times.

Perhaps some of the more trusted and seasoned racers that have checked in could volunteer to put their bag down and help out behind the tables.
After a brief pre check-in orientation of course.

Just some ideas to perhaps alleviate some of the pressure on the organizers.
Dave.

You can do it now or do it then, your choice. If you do it now it makes check-in faster.

You will be getting a number/ticket or something along with a piece of paper. You fill in that piece of paper, that contains your order, and when your number is called (we will call a range of numbers) you come up to the table to check-in. When you come up you turn in the piece of paper and we provide you with your goods. I will have a more detailed post of what is on the paper by next week. We think this will speed up the process, along with having the tires marked in advance.

Are there any special instructions for shipping items to the hotel?

The 5280 crew is visible to the far upper left. Really getting excited for this year!

Does watching the world's coverage make anyone else miss Charlie's aggressive race calling?

Use the Riviera link to the UPS store info and it gives the shipping instructions. I think it's your name, and arrival date.

Anyone shipping to the hotel be prepared to pay a hefty price too. The receiving area is not owned by the hotel and the company that runs it now charges premium I believe. Its usually around 7-8.00 for a small or light weight box. Bigger boxes or heavy boxes are upwards of 40-50.00 to get them out of hock.
