F1 racing is sort of going on here in the LA area. Usually it picks up when Speedtech RC starts up the series.

Newbie Question?

What's a good set-up for carpet racing (TAC LEGAL). need help in tire and insert choice, camber, toe, pinion and spur, motor, body, etc....... (will be running on a technical carpet track)

tires : type a or b
inserts : ???
body : ferrari ar williams
motor : type rr, TZ or RZ
pinion and spur : high-speed or stock

I don't know what TAC is but in general I have found that for carpet the cars works best with a low ride height, wide track, lots of camber ( 3-4deg) and only 1-2mm of uptravel.

I hope this gets you started.

hey neil, i was going to look you up in portland but i fighting the car and forgot, i got lucky again this year at the burien tcs, but won't be able to make it down for nats. poor planning on my part which is a bummer cause i was really looking forward to getting my butt handed to me again and maybe a couple of tips.

I thought I saw you in Portland. But wasn't sure since I haven't seen you since last year TCS nats. Too bad you can't make it down this year, it's a new motor to learn again.

Not quite Neil... Our TAC rules are patterned closer to the Tamiya Eurocup rules... but for the M-chassis class which we revived here this year, i patterned the M-chassis rules to the TCS rules...
