Questions?? 1/10 Servos Question. MKS & Hitec

Hi all,
I got a question regarding my setup for my V1 RRR. Its probably a bit late as ive already purchased the servos but just want to make sure. If its no good ill replace them.

Steering servo
MKS HV-787P Titanium Gear Servo
6.85kg (95oz) and 0.041 @ 6v

Throttle/Brake Servo
Hitec HS-7966HB
7.99kg (111oz) and 0.08 @ 6v

Both servos are coreless i believe.
Anyway id just like an idea if this is setup is good enough to compete with on an ameature level for on-road as i usally play 1/8 off road.

Thanks

I still run this car in and use Futaba 9452 which are about 9kg and .1 to 60 degrees.

I use the same in both throttle and steering with no trouble (have raced this class over 10 years now). Yours sound similar so you should be fine....just try them and see.

The only difference I have found with less expensive servos is that they dont centre as well....not so much a problem in the throttle, but irritating in the steering...

I'd consider switching them up. Anything over a hundred oz. should steer your car fine.

Thanks guys for the input. So put the MKS for throttle and the hitec for steering? Even though the MKS is twice as fast?

Yep, there's a lot more load on the steering than you'd expect. Spend some time with the sub trims/trims, steering rate and get your turning angle around 14degree equally left right. It's a most underestimated aspect of rc onroad and many people get frustrated working on the chassis with no change to the handling only to find that a small change on the remote can make a significant change on track.

Kudos for the effort up front, hope you enjoy the traction
