Default Steering

Well the steering parts are 2-3 months away. So I need to find some other parts from a different maker that will fit xi sport. Does any one have any ideas on what chassis would work?

Not sure exactly which parts you're looking for, but TQ Racing shows all the plastic suspension & steering parts in stock. HKS Hobby might have the aluminum steering system (shows in stock, but they sometimes don't tell you things are backordered until you actually go to checkout).

I installed the graphite composite arms in the rear and on one side the outer holes for the pin seem to have quite a big play in them. This results in the wheel having a significant slop. Anybody had similar experience? Any trick I can do to reduce it?

Just got into the Touring Cars and need something for Indoor tracks (not often, because they are quite far away) and driving around in my works parking lot (the track will be drawn with chalk and little caps .
Just found out about the sakura and I would like to know if I would regret my choice of taking the sakura? The other option at the moment would be the Asso TC4 (its a little pricier than the sakura).

Going to a fair tomorrow and want to know if I can pack it on a special-fair-price without thinking

If you put the two vehicles next to each other, you will see that the Sakura xi sport is light years ahead of the TC4 in regards to design. It also accepts xray and tamiya parts, as it is essentially a clone car.

i still am having trouble getting any droop on the rear end. I think the shocks are too short. The only thing I can think of is the replacement aluminum parts I put on it changed the geometry. Even with the shocks adjusted to the bottom I still get zero droop.

I am almost temped to buy another kit and start over.

Any idea on how to fix this?

You could buy longer or shorter ball cups for the bottom end of your shocks.

After looking at the shock for about an hour I think I might have an idea why the droop is not there.

1. The shocks I bought are for the Zero no the XI Sport
2. i have the wrong shock towers on it.

I was thinking buying one of these from HobbyKing because they have the cheapest price including freight I have been able to find.

Can you guys suggest what hop ups are essential?

Cheers,

Kivin

Hobbyking doesnt sell the xi sport. They sell the Zero S, which has be repackaged as the TD10.

You'll want the vertical motor mount and a 19T pulley. Probably a good idea to get 66T 48p spur gears also. Swaybars and different springs, according to your preference in chassis suspension. That a good place to start for now.

HK does also sell the XI Sport.

I would recommend getting the aluminum wheel hex adapters, that's basically the only really must have. If you want to seriously race then get also the SSK driveshafts for front, swaybars (you need mounting kit and the swaybars itself), floating servo mount.

You're right. Wasn't aware of that. And they didn't even rebrand it...

I'm basically slowly upgrading my Zero to an XI/XI sport.

I installed XI front and rear aluminum bulkheads today, but realized my Zero bulkhead covers do not fit. And now I cannot find anyone with aluminum bulkhead covers in stock.

Does anyone know where I can get aluminum bulkhead covers? Or have any plastic ones you'd want to sell for super cheap? (I'll still eventually want aluminum ones but would be ok running plastic ones until they are back in stock)
