I have run the XI Sport with and without anti-roll bars and don't find there is much difference.

Going to run it with a Futaba 3pl, FEETTECH lowlrofile servo and sp reventon r+V3 mmm 17.5 motor. Hopefully i'll be set for a while. And all for about $300.
I suggest you get a range of gears (48P):
  • Pinion: 39, 40 & 41
  • Spur: 70, 71 & 72

I've had issues fitting the Kimbrough gears. I would recommend sticking to the 3 Racing gears.

Kimbrough 48p 66T (aka: team associated 66) is a perfect fit onto the Xi pulley.

The swaybars work very well also - either the Zero set, or the Xi set.

If the swaybars and a kimbrough 66t are not properly working, something may be out of whack.

Picked up a spur 72...pinion 39 for a 3.8ish FDR. I'll try tomorrow. Gotta practice for the 17.5 sportsman race.

Great then. Got myself a XI SPORT. Plan to install it with floating servo, aluminum servo linkage.

Anything else I should upgrade? Any benefit using SSK drive shaft?

If I would to install anti-roll bars, will it be sufficient just install on the front?

Thanks

I hear SSK shaft is a must for smoother turns. Waiting for that and roll bars in the mail myself. Everything cost me under $200 including the floating mount and aluminum servo.

Took the car to my local hobby shop and people were all over my car haha.

Is it having SSK shaft for the front is sufficient? What about the rear shaft?

Thanks

SSK is not a necessary piece, but it will help if you are already consistent and fast, and run with a thick front diff/spool. The standard cvd's in the rear are more than enough, as they won't reach a steep enough angle to justify the use of an SSK-type shaft.

Has anyone tried the graphite chassis? I would like to save some weight and this will do more than I need.

Okay then. I just get the SSK shaft for the front drive shaft only.

Regarding the anti-roll bars, will it be useful or sufficient to install only the front?

Thanks

hi guys, I just bit the bullet and bought myself a xi, this will be my first rc ever, and I have a quick question: I plan to use the xi as a drift car to play with my nephew, after much reading I realize that I should put in a one way diff for the front, and that is where I have a problem, 3racing SAK-U315 (ultimate) vs SAK-59 (zero-s), they both say it is compatible with the xi, so is the diff the same? the zero-s one looks like it has a gear on it, where the ultimate does not...can anyone help me out? thanks!
