It will free up the diffs and actually helps the O rings last a bit longer. No need for them.

The metal washer addresses the leaking diff issue. If your diff starts to leak it's best you use them.

so u let the pin 3518 rest against the rubber O ring ? I cant see how it would last and seal W/O the washer ?

Yes. I've never hurt an o-ring. We usually put enough time on the car that the cross pins will start too notch into the case so I just put a whole new case in with new o-rings. Shins are not needed!

If the leak is that bad, replace the o-ring and use more grease on the outdrives. The metal shims are not needed on a properly built diff.

Anyone else had issues with stripping plastic spurs? I dont want to go to a metal one for the added rotational weight and most of all them just being so loud. Sounds like I may just have to suck it up and go with a metal spur though. Just didnt know if I was the only one.

Got a metal spur on mine, really isn't noisy at all. A touch of minimal weight on the spur is worth the durability in my opinion on high power 1/8th stuff.

I switched to a steel 43t spur from agama after losing 3 plastic gears. It did calm the initial punch down. The noise isnt too bad. The pinion will eventually wear out so be ready for that.

Hey guys I just got a 8ight-e 3.0 RTR. First time out I burnt up my servo, no surprise right?? Well anyways I bought a savox sw-0231mg. First off it doesn't fit very well. The holes to mount didn't line up and now that it is installed the steering linkage doesn't sit flat anymore and the servo horn that came with it is junk. So what I am wondering is if anyone else uses this servo, if so what horn are you using? I would love an aluminum one.

Also I am curious what servo and horns you guys are using that fit and work well. If I need to get another one to fit properly I am willing to do so.

The sw-0231mg is bigger than the servos usually used which is probably causing your fitment issues
