Has anyone tried a different brand car steering block to see if it works in this car

Default VTA set-up

Build it to stock set-up with soft springs in front, medium in rear and just a front sway-bar. Lean the shocks in front and rear, run 40-50 weight shock oil and minimum rebound. Try the Elliot Harper set-up for low bite carpet. I suggest you get some spare C hubs and spur gears. DP

Parnelli I took your suggestion and removed rear swaybar and moved shocks all the way in. What a huge difference on our little slick cement track. Outside temp got up to 75deg today so pavement got warm, combined with the changes it was like a diff car. Ordered the softer springs should get even better. Thanks for the advice.

You are welcome SGT, the DETC is an awesome chassis for VTA. It responds very well to minor tuning changes. I wish I had bought mine six months earlier. DP

Running low on spares, all parts I need are back ordered. What model Tamiya TC or Xray T4 parts will work for the front steering block and C hub? DP

Im pretty sure that backorders will never be filled at this point. I just bought the whole suspension setup, arms, steering and c hubs for Tamiya TRF 418. At least they'll all fit together.
