Here is some info about my setup:

Front:
Camber is set to the maximum
Medium spring (gold)
And i did run black rubber O-rings under and above the front carbon upper suspension plate.
So far i'm the only one that uses O-rings on the front instead of using alu spacers.
This will give extra flex on the front suspension, but the top suspension plate will come higher then normal. (you can't use Ride R1 tires with this conversion)
Ride height is set at 5mm

Rear:
Medium to hard roll damper grease
350 in pitch damper with medium (yellow) spring
Links on the outer hole.
Medium (gold) roll springs
Ride height is also set at 5mm

Tires i have used are 571&575

Hope this helps

Hey guys,

I new to F1 and I just put and order in for one of these kits.

Just wondering is there any spares or parts I should order?

I've been reading this thread but only up to page 30

Thanks

after some hard indoor crashing all I broke was the lower front suspension (std f104 part) and the rear wing. Nothing else thats a specific trf101 part. Have fun with the car, it's exellent!

all included in the kit, you don't need to order them.

It looks good!!

I'm up to page 50 on this thread now lol
I noticed people are talking about getting spring adjuster also carbon side braces?

I like your esc positioned at the rear of the car, what's a good esc to use with a 21.5T? I have a Orion R10 in my TC and was just going to put one of them in but is that and over kill?

Thanks

carbon side braces: http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=2908 if your originals break
spring adjuster: http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=6436 easier adjusting your sidesprings

I use the hobbywing Justock, I do think the R10 is somewhat overkill. Timing, boost etc isn't used in F1, most clubs demand a blinky esc in their raceformat.

Thanks

Yeah I probably should of used another word instead of overkill, that's all I meant.. If you need all the fancy stuff for F1? That's great I can save some cash on a esc

Do you need fans or heat sinks in F1?

I've only got back into rc this year and have been out of it for over 15 years.. So much has changed! I bought a xray t4 14 and race in the 13.5t blinky class and just love it.. Think I'm addicted! I'm keen to learn how to drive the pan style chassis

TRF101W

Notable tweaks from the 2013 car:

1. The front end is a variant of the TRF101, but it now uses a carbon fiber lower arm.
2. The front end is now "wider"
3. The upper deck and posts are able to be secured in two different locations. You'll see when I can release images.
4. The lower deck is thinner to give the car more flex
5. New roll damper design for quicker response.
6. New aluminum servo mount design.

2.5mm thick Carbon Fiber Lower Deck
