Default t3 rebuilt!

I just rebuilt a t3 and it is fast. I am going to get stiffer shock springs and get new racing rims and tires. I have a 17 turn double in it and I love it any mod suggestions besides electronics would be awsome.

The T3 is a great truck!!! I have three of them.

Put the Ti arms all around. RPM ball cups.
Can't do a whole lot to make it better.

I installed a Novak SS5800 brushless and it is a blast!!!
The truck handles the power in stock form.

I will be racing it this weekend so I'll let you know what else
needs upgrading.

I would definitely look into that new LRP / Reedy brushless system. Looks to be more powerful than the novak, can run brushed or brushless motors, and is smaller. If you want to do brushless but still have the option of brushed, can't go wrong there.

For a mod motor, I am really liking the trinity cobalt series. The V2 tech motors work well and have long time between rebuilds but just have to watch that they don't gum up in certain conditions.

Novak also has a brushless/ brushed system that also looks very
good. It seems to be priced a little less expensive compared to the LRP.

When you play in the dirt brushless is the way to go!!!!!

The best thing is "ZERO MAINTENANCE". I just clean the bearings off.

The SS also gives you the abilty to change the parameters of the speed control to 6 different presets.
When my son drives it I can quickly change it to the stock motor mode and when I drive it I put it to mod mode.
With 19/87 gearing I clocked it (with Venom speed meter) at a
max speed of 30 mph.

yeah zero maintinence does sound good. I also might look into the lrp stuff but I will probably stick with the novak system.

dude, thet's be sicck! witha b/l system, and a-arms.... well, if u can get rpm arms , go for it!! or alum both are good but i'd definately go for rpm cos its more durable, doesnt bend and has a guranee that it won't break so if you break and it was'nt deliberartley you can send them in for a new set of arms. but im not sure if rpm make a-arms for the t3.
heres their website:

Default rear/front end modification

Go to RC10B4.com and search for the front susp. modification for T3's. It makes the front end wider which is more stable. You can use Losi hubs in the rear and that also makes it wider, again resulting in a more stable ride. I know how to do both but dont have the time to explain the front mod. here. Just do a search on rc10b4.com and you will find it. It even has pictures showing it.

I had a T3, and it was a great truck. Unfortunately my local hobby store does not care many parts for it, so eventually I was forced to trade up for a T4. But it is a great truck for those who can find the rollers for about $50-$80.

RPM doesn't seem to have arms for the T3. They are available
for the T2/GT.
I wish they had them for the T3. Although I haven't broke one yet.

My T3 finished in 2nd place in the A-main at my local track yesterday.
Mod off-road (brushless).

dang that sucks. I guess I didnt read enough. To bad, the t3 would be nice with a set of rpm a-arms.
By the way I just did a race and there was no competetion. It was all b4's and nitro rustlers but nobody could keep up. They just werent good enough. It was a fun experiance.
