My son has an SC10 rs that I bought him for xmas and I hate driving it compared to my 4.2 but for some odd reason I want to get another kit to build and was thinking about the SC10.2 when it comes out. Good idea or should I just stick with buggy.

Sc is always a safe bet because there is always a class of them on race day. That being said I prefer Stadium truck for a 2nd class. ST handles much more like a buggy and for me is much more enjoyable. I do race SC on occasion but 2wd buggy,ST,and 4wd buggy are my go to classes if possible.

ST has the added bonus of no parachute.

Im the opposite, I have raced all the classes and SCT is my favourite, I supose it has to do with your personal preference and factors like if you can get one to handle better than the other, many people may try a class and have wrong setup or tires and then just dislike that class as it was terrible to drive for them

SCT takes finesse to be fast. And a general understanding that it has its own traits given the body and limitations of the narrow tires.
They can be much more unforgiving than a stadium when it comes to having a bad setup.

It reacts about like any AE platform.
To me it's kind of like a "numb" version of the t4.

Well yea, that's about like comparing a Lotus Elise to a dump truck.
But kidding aside. It's not that bad. It still responds to a 1mm change in ride height and a 1/2wt change in shock oils.
Did you ever get happy with a setup?

Did you drill the 4th hole in the rear shock tower?

K. Just thought I'd ask because I still come across those that havent. And doing so adds a lot of side bite in the rear.
Outdoors I tend to run a harder compound on the front. Soft front, ss rear. Helps a lot when using the Maifield setup running mod. Ymmv.
You can also run a black ballstud on the steering bellcrank. Slows it down and makes it more linear coming off center.
