lrp brushless esc

It seems like I keep hearing nothing but bad comments on their product. If you ask me they need to offer a recall for anyone interested. Why gamble with something that will give you a DNF. I will not purchase a LRP when I can buy a Novak brushless system that is proven and has a good reputation. I am sure though if not programmed correctly and geared correctly, there will be problems. Thank everyone for the comments, otherwise we would not know as LRP is not about to say they have a bad product out there on the market. I am going to put a Novak 4.5 brushless sytem in one of my TC4's to see what it will do. I will post any feedback that I experience.

Hi
I'm very lucky my LRP Sphere comp. with 4 star still work perfect about 4 months ago without any problem such as overload shut down, lack punch, glitching, etc.... But I hope it will broken and change a new one.

I've had great luck with my LRP Sphere Comp. I like it more than my GTB (if you switch from BL to Brushed, swap over is fast).
I've never used my LRP with Ready BLs - only Novak Velocities, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 13.5. No problems to report, ever.

Sepirts, I have been thinking of trying the 3.5R with my Sphere. What is the wiring? Blue/Yellow/Orange to A/B/C ? Thanks!

ive got a new Sphere and two star BL.
I raced it tonight for first time but I ran it with a stock brushed motor. For some reason, in brushed mode, it has waaaaaaayyyy too much drag brake. I could go down the straightaway and let off and it would spin out.
yes, its programmed correctly,
yes, the gear mesh ir right and the drivetrain rolls smooth with pinion removed.
Had anyone else had this issue? I "solved" it by turning my throttle trim up high enough the truch (FT T4) would want to roll.

The Sphere does not have the Lipo cut off feature like the Competition Sphere has...

Thats it???
If we're talking about the same 'LiPo cut-off feature'(stops the car before the pack is too low), then neither did my Futaba MC800C ver. 2 and I used a LiPo with that for over a year.
So basically, if your using a LiPo with the original Sphere, you have to use your brain and not run the pack down completely?

Hi,
does anyone know if the normal Sphere esc can handle a 4 star motor in an 1/12th 4 cell mod application??

I've been looking at the instructions for the Sphere, and I'm not seeing something. Does the regular non-Competition Sphere also auto detect whether your using brushless or brushed motors.
LRP's chart of feature says the Competition does, but simply says "Yes" for the original.
If it doesn't auto detect, then how are the modes switched?
Thanks

The Sphere was not design to handle the 4-star motor in any applications. This is why they came out with the Sphere Competition for the lower wind bl motors.

you have to program it, simple, first step in the programming instructions.
