Default save to drive

I did the same thing...
the software for some reason was a bit slow when I tried it via a connection.
but once I save the file to my drive then used the utility it worked fast as heck without any problems.

I don't know if it made a difference but I upgraded the software in steps..
1 version at a time thought it would be better that way to ensure nothing was missed during each version.
don't think you can do this anymore....believe they only display the latest release on the website.

hope that helps

I'd like to do the same.

Would you by chance still have all the updates available to send to me via email??

Thanks.

Default upgrading

I have used the upgrade procedure without an issue 3 times. I think the main problem is if your computer doesn't have a serial port. It seems that the usb to serial converters are tricky.

I simply hook the cable into the serial port, load the upgrade program, connect the icc and then click upgrade. It takes about a minute and you are done.

I don't think you have to upgrade in steps because you are replacing the entire firmware.

My charger peaks at temp also, but I like that since I can be sure that each cell got a full charge. I run a fan over the heatink while charging.

hope you get yours back in good nick
I kept getting cell errors on #1 which turns out to be the braiding. It also only seemed to peak on temps not delta cutoff's.

I actually figured out what my problem was in upgrading. I bought 2 cables from someone on here way back. I bit the bullet and bought another one at a local hobby shop and bam, it worked.

Anybody having any problems with 1.07B??

I had my charger set to fahrenheit and every time I power it back up, the peak temp sets to 12.5 deg. Anyone else???

hi guys
I 've done usual soldering job on ICC works ok but now OPen-Close arm doesn't works properly it's on close position and goes to open side half way if I push it very hard...
so how should be the arm Lever position when assembling back together the ICC...
Thanx in advance...

Default arm opens 1/2 way

Did you take the unit apart to get to the spring posts? If so, take it apart again and reassemble it. Also make sure that wires, parts, etc, didn't get stuck at the bottom of the charger.

ok I will try but I don't think anything stuck there I try 2 times before...
arm has a big tension at close position when I try to move it to open position on the halfway springs had been pushed back really hardly so I leave it close position cos it is scary to push it to open all the way I don't want to breake all the soldering points

matter of fact it was a great idea ............i wish mine did not have so many problems, i never did get it to work right and it kept breaking, solder joints, set screw would loosen, braided wire broke, then solder joints again,i think i spent as much time fixing it as charging packs with it and the temp sensors were way off or readings not even close

this soldered spring design is one of the dummiest idea we ever meet you shouldn't do that the world's most advanced charger, after soldering them properly I see the amount of pressure you can load the soldering points when Lever is OPen position never leave your ICC like that...
only 1 fan is another bad idea is there anyone try to fit another one?
I believe Temp sensors will be sorted via software updates...
cooling heatsink with double fan gives you better charging results...
I wish someone from Spintec will give us some tips to sortout this broken solder joints problem...
To be honest I still love my ICC...

Default The fan.

The single fan in the bottom is there only to draw air flow past the temp sensors under the cells (or else the normal air flow (ie. with no fan) would draw cold air in at the bottom past the temp sensors.) The fan improves the temp readings. (Thats why the fan was orginally set to come on only when one of the cells went over 32c)

The fan is not to cool the cells. Or the heatsink (shame).
