I don't have a ICC. I would like to buy one but I am a bit short on cash.

Here is the links to the history: http://www.spintec.nl/ICC_Firmware_History.txt

What's the chances of increasing the discharge limit say up to 25amps.
I don't know if it limited by hardware or as easy as software upgrade?.

Why I ask?. simply from a cycling point of view . Don't think it will hurt?
Any comments?.

Does anyone in the UK know of any shop that has this cable?

If not can someone lend it to me?

Thanks

I'm using this software for a while and it's really nice.
More accurate on most of the things and some nice new functions.
Also the peak detection is much more accurate now!!

Baring in mind how hot the heatsink can get discharging at 10A, I should think the electronics would fry themselves @25A

Yeah, very true, so that's a no no to 25 amp discharge.

Just a to confirm with some of you out there, I need to get some kind of indication that my packs are getting what others are.

packs I use, IB4200's 6 cell

charge rate = 6 amps
peak detect = 2,5 mv
max temp = 52 deg C
min temp = 40 deg C

I have Novac smart tray SE edition and normally equalise with hold voltage at 1 volt per cell prior to charging.

Average mah's I get is 4800, highest achieved on my own matched packs are 5235 mah's. I think thats just insane!, .

cell venting is quite common, but the packs don't seem to loose performance..

no icrease in voltage but much more runtime.
I race 27t superstock.

oh yes, I forgot to add that I have not seen the "auto repeak" come alive as yet...

Also if anyone is interested In getting a hold of an I.C.C. at a good price I'd like to sell mine to pick up the new one as will be racing five cell going forward and will save me having to mess around with the cable. Its not had much use and is in A1 condition

It will come complete with 5 cell cable and I'll ensure its updated with the new firmware as well.

P.M me if interested.

me neither (

I just finished one 5cell pack, 3900mAH average, one cell peaked at 2400mAh, 39degrees. No repak, of course... true is, someone from spintec said here, it will only start if temperature does not exceed 38 degrees bad luck.

I would suggest to have "repeak-temperature" as user-adjustable option in some future software update.

hey djw, it won't repeak simply because when a cell peaks the temperature continues to rise, the time it settles, say 5 to 10 mins later the other cells would be complete. I have seen on my ICC the cell temperatures climb to 65 deg C, after it has peaked at plus minus 50 deg C.

I think its design was intended more as a safety feature rather than a primary means to peak a cell, I reckon theres no harm if it did not repeak.

still a great charger, needs a second fan although, 1 little fan in the centre is not great in terms of ventilation for the pack.
Just my 2 cents.

I fitted taller rubber feet on mine to make it easier for the fan to get some air to it.
I believe the fan is not their to cool the electronics or heatsink, it's to aid in the temp detection by moving the air around the temp sensors, so it measures the cell and not the ambient temps.

Default stops charging if too hot

Hello,

my problem is that my ICC charger stops charging if it gets hotter outside. If wetter is not so hod the charger functions well, but at warmer conditions it stops at a capacity of around 1000mAh. This happens with old but also with new batteries. When it stops charging the cut of temperature is higher than the temperature of the cell.
I charge with 6 ampere and 2.5mV delta peak.

thanks for your help
