I would stay away from a 3s LiPo. It's ridiculously quick on a 2s. It'll be plenty for track use.

Might start running into heat issues with that set up as well.

Thanks again! Kit was delivered today, a day early, so I've started the build. Can't wait to finish her up.

Teamfasteddy (from Fast Eddy Bearings) has a whole line of videos up on youtube walking you through the build incase you run into any issues or get confused. I had it playing while I was building just incase I ran into any questions. Make sure you get the bearings all the way on. They seem to fit really tight. Enjoy the build, I love my truck. Had a couple people Tuesday night come up to me and ask what motor is in mine (Hobbywing 4000kv) and they just couldn't believe the power it had even on no timing. Made a few more believes in Hobbywing that night. I'm geared 15/40 right now and the highest temp so far is 170 on the motor and 100 on my RX8. Just ordered a 39t MIP spur. Trying to smooth out the power some as it's just a monster.

You'll love it. The 39t MIP spur helped smooth the bottom end out some. Topping out at 170 degrees after a full pack on a 15t. Stepping down to a 14t to knock down the temps just a little as 170 is just a tad bit high for my liking.

I went thru the trouble of bending them to match mine. I didn't know if them being a little wider would hurt anything like floating side to side but it's all good now. looks like i'll be running the new setup except for the front aluminum 15deg hubs.

Glad to hear it. With the long can motors, you may want to try the battery all of the way forward. Jake runs his that way and the balance feels similar to my truck.

Going to post this here too: Has anyone else experienced bad suspension binding in the rear end? Truck is a 2.0. I'm getting absolutely no rebound. Just rebuilt the shocks. Same as before on old oil. Bent hinge pins?

Possible, take your shocks off completely. Raise the front and rear arms and see if they drop back down quickly. If they dont drop down at all the binding can be in the arms, hinge pins, the inserts for toe/antisquat.

Arms are pretty free. No binding and go to full droop no problem. What shock setup are you guys running? Maybe I'll start playing with the bypass...
