gearing
I recently purchased a 10/2 checkpoint motor, I can't wait to run it. What gearing should I use in a Xray'05? What spring and brush combo do you recommend for on road with rubber tires?
Thank you

Can you tell me is there a difference in com. size between the on road and off road motors ??
Well what i really want to know is there something that would make the 10t motor un-suitable for 1/12th racing ??
The 8t is real nice, but i also want something alittle easier on the batteries for those really tight tracks A 10t would be perfect but as it's stated as an off road motor i'm alittle unsure if i should wait for an on road 10t arm to be produced ??!

Merciless: The motors are the same. No one really runs a 10t in on-road any more. That is why it is listed as a off-road motor.
Osherman: The 19t motor will be released in about a month or so. You can check out the lasted news on our website www.teamcheckpoint.com.

Gearing Checkpoint motors
Can you give me any gearing info for a 10 turn double? Do you have any gearing info on your website? I am having trouble finding 6 cell brushes. Can you suggest a hobby shop or distributor that carries 6cell brushes?
Thx

JPH has had Team Checkpoint motors and brushes since day one.
Dealers can order brushes and all Team Checkpoint accessories from Great Planes Model Distributors. Just ask your hobby shop to call they’re GP sales rep.
Additionally, hobby shops can now order a parts bundle that includes the essential replacement parts for the motors.
Stay tuned to www.teamcheckpoint.com for the latest news.

can anyone explain to me why the 19T is cheaper than the rest? is there a technical difference compaired to the modified versions?
in my class any 19T is allowed. fixed timing etc, is not required. that's why I am asking.

if your track is running open 19T..some racers are getting the standard can and aluminum endbells and putting in 19t arms..

first of all sorry to everybody that I asked a question that was already covered. But searching through the post is not easy.
Anyway, I will do the same then.... and not use the plastic endbell.
thanx
