On-Road Track help
I am starting a new track in middle Tennessee and i am useing schedule 40 1 1/2 pipe for the track layout. I am having problems comming up with something to use for the track ends. (They are marked in red) please give me some ides on what to use.

Just extend the pipes to make the turns as aggressive as you want. plow disks kinda suck for drivers. especially on asphalt. they don't upset the car and slow it down as a penalty for cutting a turn. they lift the car and flip it over. Since the PVC is not destructive to cars like a 2x4 would be just let the pipe make the corner. I would paint the end with a bright color so the drivers have a good reference on the end point.

The best place is to find a farmer the uses a Disc, as they replace the round disc blades, and these old one are the best thing to get your hands on. they are heavy and they do not hurt the little toy cars that we race... But they will turn the car over...
Now if that is not possible, I would recommend making ends that you stick on, the are "Flappers", they are around 3 feet in length, you attached one end to the end of the PVC and been the other end to the other side, of the PVC, thus your flapper is now 1.5 feet long... Flappers are made out of codex plastic (sp). I was trying to find it. The key is to something that is very flexible, Lexan is not it... The sun will wear it down fast.... These flappers will grab the car, slow it down but not break it... So they are toy car friendly... I'm sure someone can chime in and give a suggestion where to purchase this.

3/4 PVC won't rip an arm unless you anchor the pipe. it will flex and give. we ran f1 and tc on a PVC parking lot track without a arm problems. The rolling and tumbling will take out a arms, steering knuckles, and the occasional top deck depending on what you flip into. its not always a gentle roll
