Anyone care to post what body people are using with the VBC? I am trying to get an old f103 body to fit but am curious if people will be using the 3racing body because of the front arm clearance.

FYI to all VBC flash 04 owners....

Parts are available (including 200mm wide conversion) and some other red bling

http://www.vbcracing.com/collections/vbc-flash-04-parts

front end looks interesting...

Planning on picking up some front end spacers, extra turnbuckles, and front arms just in case.

You might want to pick up a couple of back axles.

I got to run my F1 for the first time on a fairly high bite carpet track with some technical sections in it.

All I got to say is WOW!!

This thing was great!

Four VBC F1 cars at The Gate last Sunday along with a couple of Tamyia cars and a Speed Passion. The VBC cars looked good and should have a couple more next weekend. I posted some pictures on our FB page NORCAR RC.

Two of the four have broken the rear axle right where the diff is pinned. The steering turnbuckles seem to be soft as well.

The car does go together well.

The stock rear body post mounting holes don't really mount up well with the F60. What we've done is replace the 3mm x 6mm button head screws that hold the "Front suspension support" (step 17), with 3mm x 10mm set screws glued into the upper deck mounts (step 14), and use the rear body posts as nuts to hold the graphite upper deck (step 17) in place.

You might also have to trim the original shock mounting tabs.

I think you mean the original body post mounting tabs, like this:

That way, the body doesn't need to be trimmed and fits easier.

I noticed this too so I made new plates that clear the body.
However I preferred to move the body posts to the forward hole, using the set screw method and spacers. It's a good location on the body and still makes it easier to remove the battery.
For me, I need to loosen or remove the 2 screws that secure the shock mounting plate in order to get my battery out easily. Having the posts there will make this more difficult.
