Anything to keep this car light weight and as close to the min weight for 1/12 is fine by me After doing testing in the last couple weeks I found as little as 30gm can add 2/10+ per lap by the end of the race to a 17.5 car.
If its light, and fast, I could care less if its rainbow colored, with rusty pig iron screws

I've always had to add weight to my BMI cars to make them legal...even when I paint up a heavy body. So long as it stays that way light screws shouldn't be an issue

How about a name that reflects the look of the chassis.
To me it looks a bit like a delta wing fighter, a capital A or a dart with those swept back bits.
So, BMI Delta would be good, you'd be paying tribute to an early pioneer of 12th racing. If you don't like that, then BMI Dart also works. Both are short and punchy and sound fast.
There's the ability with the dart to do some word play, like: "Be at the pointy end with a Dart!" "With a Dart you're on target for success."

Seeing as how my TiVo recorded this the other day...the shiny metal reminded me of "Heavy Metal" though I'm not sure that would be a good name for a 1/12th.
Maybe the new metal look could be a play on blade weapons like a Katana, Long Sword, Sabre...something along those lines.
