I run the VTX1 in my 1/12 17.5 boosted. It works great!

i dont like the hobbywing 1s ESC, very expensive for what it is and i had nothing but issues with it

core rc servo was horribly slowed n wouldnt return to centre
among other issues, this was with a spektrum receiver.

moved to a just stock esc and muchmore LiFe 6.6v battery and zero problems, wish i went that route sooner tbh

Are these the same 1S ESCs that would be used in a 1/10 pan car?

Thanks,

Bill

The VTX1 will work in 1 cell and 2 cell cars with a super small footprint and no external booster needed.

I am going to get into Wgt soon but would like to not buy another ESC, so I have a R10 pro that I want to use. But what do I need to make it work in a 1s 13.5 class? And is this a good way to go or should I sell it and get the 1s specific version?

Another Hobbywing user here, 1s version V3.1 in a Tamiya RM-01. Using a Trinity 4.5 motor, no timing boost due to limited gearing on the Tamiya. ESC is silky smooth, barely gets warm to touch.

Picked up a V2.1 Hobbywing refurbished on Falcon Sekido site for about $70 shipped. Looks brand new. Kind of big but doesn't need a booster pack. Can't wait to try it out.
