I am very disappointed at the way Kyosho is marketting their TF-5 cars. The prices they are being sold for are just way over board. The value is just not there. The schocks are very nice, but other than that, lots of plastic, for a $420 SD, and $480 for a BD. Compare a HPI PRO 4 regular or Hara, to the TF-5 SD, and you get way more with the PRO4. What about a HB CYclone WC edition, you get soooooo much more than the Stallion. However, now all the parts should be comming standard with the kit, are showing up as hop ups, but like with the V-One RRR, later versions will include them as standard. Can you belive that a WC V-One RRR is almost $90 cheaper than a TF-5 Stallion? How can this be?

This is what happens when you buy Kyosho.. There great cars and everything, but when comes to buying parts, there going to get you there.. And they do sale it for way more than they should, but they know they can get away with it becuz it's Kyosho...

Yeah, the cost is a little high. I thought the SD car was going for $380 before, because I got mine for $330. For $380 I think it is a good deal, but for $420 that is a little high. It really doesn't need any hop ups, but aluminum outdrives would have been nice.

The stallion I thought was too high, so I waited and bought a used one. Even without the hop ups it I think it is a very nice car, but it would have been nice to get all the extra aluminum pieces.

Was the Stallion always $480ish?

Exactly!

I haven't bought a hop-up at all for the SD other than some extra front hub-carriers. The SD is a good deal.

When saw the price for the Stallion, I just walked away. It would have to be 3-times better than the X-Ray before I would spend that much for it.

i've been working on a decent carpet set up for the past month now and i feel i've pretty much cracked it for the stallion,

it did involve taking a few measurements from a cyclone

if anybody wants it then drop me a PM

Hey Guo,
It's cool. I already got my Stallion. I was just posting some pics I found of the car he designed. I ran it up at Frederick on the 3rd. It was fast but I had trouble putting a full run in. It needs work with the setup but right off the bat it was laying down some good laps. A few more weekends with it and it'll be on rails. I'm gonna try a lot of different things next weekend with it. If you're free you should try to come down with your Cyclone. -Ky
