"Yes, it will be allowed. I've run into this with various cars in the past, and it's annoying when you can never get the pinion fully aligned with the spur no matter which way you install the pinion. Good luck to all the drivers... I hope you have a great event."
This is from Steve pond in relation to grinding the flat spot on spec motors on the rotor shaft to get the pinion to fit correctly on the Xray cars and any others that require it.
